Biography

Dr. Igbinadolor, Richard O. is an Assistant Director and the current Head of Value Addition Research Department (HOD) of cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria. He obtained his PhD in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology. He worked as a Research Scientist with Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria where he has been actively involved in research activities in the institute. He is also a past Research Fellow of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), Trieste, Italy where he had been actively involved in research and had acquired expertise in Genetic Engineering, Molecular genetics and Biotechnology.

In addition to that he has been involved in numerous managerial positions in the institute as Head of Station (HOS), CRIN, Uhonmora Research Substation, Edo State from 2012 to 2016. His research interests include genetic engineering of yeasts for bioconversion of agricultural biomass to biofuel, products development from the institute mandate crops, Fermentation, quality assurance, food safety etc. He has also lectures in the University and had several research publications in reputable journals
