The Association of Agricultural Technologies of Nigeria (AATON) held her biennial general meeting tagged “Sustaining Agriculture Through Technology” held from 3rd to 4th May 2023 at CRIN Event Centre, Ibadan. The event was graced by the Executive Director (ED) Dr. Patrick Adebola, who was visibly amazed at the radiant appearance of the corporately dressed members.
The ED was decorated as the Grand Patron of the Association. The organisers seized the occasion to launch AATON instructional guide titled: “Effective Approach to Sustainable Cocoa Production in Nigeria”. The CRATON, which was produced by the association after they were trained in 2020, was showcased at the occasion. The proposed Cocoa tree statue was also unveiled. The outgoing executives led by Mr. Odedele Samson Oluseye was dissolved and new executives led by Mrs. Babalola Eunice Adenike were inaugurated to steer the ship of the association for 2 years. The programme was attended by important dignitaries among whom were: Alhaji Miniru Oladayo Ola, Baale Ogunpa Market/CAN Chairman, Oyo State and Comrade Adeola Adegoke, Cocoa Farmers Association of Nigeria (CFAN) President. Send-forth ceremony of three retirees which includes Mrs Mary Adebisi Akande was held at the occasion. The PhD holders among the association were also celebrated with a congratulatory message.
