The Director of Training with the Institute, Dr. R.R. Ipinmoroti was returned unopposed as the President in Council (PIC) of the Horticultural Society of Nigeria on merit to steer the affairs of the society for two years at the 41st Annual Conference of the Society held from November 12 to 16, 2023 at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho. His re-election is a testament to his transformation drives that has enhanced the international visibility of the research and activities of the society through the online access of the society’s Journals and Proceedings that he pioneered. The celebrant is currently on sabbatical as a Professor with the Soil Science and Land Resource Management Department,
