CRIN Female Researchers Attends Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Ibadan Branch, Year-end Retreat

The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) is a voluntary international organization of women researchers aimed at fostering collaboration among women in Universities, Research Institutes and Allied Institutions towards ensuring research activities focused on societal growth and development. Members of the Ibadan Branch of the OWSD wrapped up the 2023 year activities with their annual picnic/retreat, which was held at the Botanical Gardens, University of Ibadan on 7 December, 2023. It was a gathering of female researchers from the Ibadan research enclave. The yearly picnic/retreat is aimed at achieving life/work balance and fostering understanding among Ibadan female researchers in a serene environment devoid of the hustle of daily life.

This year’s occasion was a convivial one for the ladies who gathered to celebrate the successes of the outgoing year. The gathering was also a memorable one with lots of fun, food, music and networking. CRIN female researchers were not left out in the celebration as they were in full attendance. Special appreciation goes to Prof. Aina Adeogun, Coordinator OWSD, Ibadan Branch and Dr. Foluso Agulanna, Vice-Coordinator OWSD, Ibadan Branch and other team members that made it a memorable experience for everyone.
