The Institute hosted this year Federal Government Parastatals and Allied Institutes Games (FEGOPA) from 6 to 10 November 2022. The allied Institutes comprises of research institutes, paramilitary, military, universities etc This year’s edition was the fourth edition. In the 1st to 3rd previous meet, CRIN came second, first and third, respectively. In 2022, CRIN trounced all other contestants and clinched the first position. Out of the five individual awards presented, the Institute bagged three awards – best spiker, best defensive player and the most valuable Player of the competition. Awards of excellence were also given to people who have contributed to the development of volleyball in CRIN, Oyo State and the Nation at large. The Institute have been a force to be reckoned with as far as Nigeria volleyball is concerned. As culled from Pa Adeleye’s comment, who is one of the foundation member of CRIN volleyball team, the development and support of Volleyball by CRIN Management started more than 5 decades ago on January 27, 1972. Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion was Prince Abass Alesinloye, a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government and General Manager Oyo State Sports Council. The Chairman CRIN Sports Committee was Mr. Onatunde Onanuga, while the Local Organising Chairman was Mr. Tunji Shittu.
