PDIC visits CRIN on Partnership Drive

The Parish Development and Investment Company (PDIC) paid a visit to the Institute on October 30, 2023. Their interest is on research and value addition to these CRIN mandate crops: Cocoa, Kola and Cashew. The delegation was led by Mr. Omon Ehighebelo and he came in the company of Ms Abosede Bamidele and Chukioujania Shalom. The representative of the ED, Dr. Amos Famaye chaired the occasion while Drs. Agbeniyi, Orisajo, Jayeola, Adejobi, Adeigbe, Olasupo, Sobowale and Ibe were in attendance. According to the Partner of PDIC, Mr. Ehighebelo, the focus of their establishment is on growth and manufacturing in Africa. He harped on backward integration as a strategic element in manufacturing. The company is interested in part funding agricultural research. In his response, Dr. Famaye assured PDIC representatives that the Institute has a team of scientists that can deliver on demand. CRIN, also, has research technologies that can be commercialised and exported. He appealed to PDIC to concretise the partnership. Technical sessions were made on possible areas of collaborations.
