The inauguration of the second National Working Committee of the Cocoa Farmers Association of Nigeria (CFAN) was held on July 06, 2023 at Archbishop Adetiloye Abiodun Hall in Ado – Ekiti, Ekiti State. The ED CRIN, Dr. Patrick Adebola, was represented at the occasion by Dr. O.S.O. Akanbi, Head of Station, CRIN Owena Substation, Ondo State. In attendance at the occasion was H.E. Gov. Abiodun Oyebanji, who was ably represented by Mr. Amoo Olutope, a Principal Officer in State Ministry of Agriculture. Also in attendance was Mr. Franklin Amoo Olakunle, a member of the Advisory Council to American President, Joe Biden, on the ease of doing business in Africa. The Ooni of Ife and the Grand-patron of CFAN, his Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II was represented by Oba Asoyan of Ife Kingdom and Oba Adebanji Adesuji, the Onijan of Ijan – Ekiti. Also represented at the occasion were OFI, Harvest field, NEP, KOLETTI Cocoa, LIMAN resource, LOOM Chocolate etc.
The administration of the oaths of office and presentation of certificate of office to the elected National Executive Officers was performed by the representative of the National Legal Adviser to the Association, Professor Babatunde Toyin of the Faculty of Law and Governing Council member of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.
Delivering his inaugural address, the National President of CFAN, Comrade Adeola Adegoke expressed his appreciation to the Grand-patron, his imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan (the Ooni of Ife), the ED CRIN and other guests for honouring the association’s invitation.
