The renowned Executive Secretary (ES), ARCN, Prof Garba Hamidu Sharubutu mni has been appointed as a Member, Board of Trustees of the NVMA. He was the former National President, Nigerian Veterinary and Medical Association (2005-2009), and was also a former President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (2013-2017). According to Kayode I. Aiyedogbon, Head, Protocol and Publicity at the Council, Head, Protocol and Publicity at the Council, the ES expressed regret for his inability to personally attend the annual conference that was just held in Benin, Edo State due to exigencies of work as it was the same time as the annual budget defense exercise at the National Assembly but he was ably represented by Dr. Matthew Shinkut among other staff of the Council who received the award on his behalf.
