This laboratory is under the Value Addition Research Department. The laboratory analyze both in process and finished products. Analysis of samples includes qualitative and quantitative determination. The equipment used are as follows:
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS): It analyze the concentration of toxic and trace metals in known and unknown samples example lead, selenium, copper etc.
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC): It separates different components into their peaks in the sample thereby determining the components of interest
Ultra-violet Visible Spectrophotometer: It determines the concentration of component by absorption at a given wavelength in the sample
