Soil and Plant Nutrition Lab

Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), soils and plant nutrition laboratory is a lab that offers reliable and quick analysis of soil, plant and fertilizer materials using wet method analysis.

Soils and plant nutrition lab provides services using the following equipments, but not limited to:

• Pg 990 Atomic absorption spectrophotometer
• Flame photometer
• UV-Visible spectrophotometer
• Muffle furnace
• Shaker
• Oven
• Digester
• pH meter e.t.c.

The following parameters are run in our laboratory.

1. Soil: PH, Textural analysis (particle size), nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, micro-nutrient and heavy metals.
2. Plant: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, micro-nutrients and heavy metals
3. Fertilizer: N:P:K and other micro nutrients as required by our clients.

The laboratory is run under the supervision of a qualified and seasoned Laboratory Scientist, with the assistance of qualified and seasoned  Science Laboratory Technologists.
